What a night for the 2025 Como Hockey Academy!
Last night we celebrated the achievements of our specialist hockey students—both in the classroom and on the pitch. From Pro Diligentia awards recognising commitment to learning, to Players’ Player and Highest Achieving Student, it was a brilliant showcase of effort, growth, and team spirit.
We also recognised our students selected in 2025 indoor and outdoor state teams, and celebrated our Captains’ Cup winners and SSWA Buchanan Cup champions in front of our amazing Como Hockey community.
One of the highlights was reliving April’s European Hockey Tour through a hilarious video created by Year 12 captain Maddie H—a perfect reminder of the friendships, challenges, and unforgettable moments that shaped this year’s group.

And of course, the most important celebration of the night—our Graduating Class of 2025. A group who weren’t just talented hockey players (just look at the state team and Premier Division stats) and skilled young coaches (all achieving their Cert II in Sports Coaching), but genuinely outstanding humans. They lived the values of the Specialist Hockey program supported one another and led with heart on and off the field.
