The closing date for Specialist Programs is Friday 29 May 2026.

All students entering Year 7 in 2028 are welcome to apply from Term 1 2027.

Como’s Specialist Hockey program has a proud tradition of excellence at national and international levels. Designed for students with emerging hockey talent, the program integrates hockey into academic life, fostering skill development, physical conditioning, and strategic gameplay.

Students become global hockey citizens—lifelong contributors to the sport as players, coaches, umpires, officials, or club members—through respectful relationships and community engagement.

Program highlights include:

• Weekly hockey sessions at Perth Hockey Stadium
• Strength & Conditioning lessons led by Curtin University Sport
• SSWA carnivals (Ross Meadows, David Bell, Buchanan Cups)
• Coaching and umpiring accreditation via primary school events
• Volunteer/employment pathways with Hockey WA and local clubs
• Biennial South West and international tours

Graduates may earn:

• A nationally recognised “Provide First Aid” certificate
• Coaching/officiating accreditation via Hockey Australia and Australian Sports Commission
• Certificate II in Sports Coaching

Students commit through to Year 12 graduation.
