The School Board plays a crucial role in the affairs of the College. The School Board establishes the mission/vision of the College, plans, future directions and reviews all elements of the College plan.
The Como Secondary College School Board has a representative
membership made up of 5 elected parents (one of whom is a nominee of the
P&C), 4 elected staff of the school, 1 community representative and the
Principal.
The period of tenure for members elected in March is two years.
Members of the public are invited to the annual meeting, as it is a forum in which to raise questions and issues concerning the College.

Como Secondary College Parents & Citizens Association was incorporated in 2015.
P&C Associations are the forum for parents and citizens in government schools who have an interest in their children’s education.
The functions of a P&C Association are to:
The P&C has representation on the School Board and the local District of P&C Associations.
The P&C meet once a month during term time. Meetings are held on a Monday at 7.30pm at the College. Please check the school calendar for dates. Attendance at these meetings is a useful way to find out more about what is happening in the College, its future plans and how these will affect your child and your family. It is also a venue for parents to voice concerns, raise issues and discuss ideas both with the Principal and with other parents.

Rotary College
A secondary education in the metropolitan area can potentially provide regional students with greater choice in educational and social experiences at a very important time in their lives.

Located in East Victoria Park, the Rotary Residential College provides high-quality accommodation for students. Each student has a room with their own bathroom and toilet. The College also provides accommodation for parents who might be visiting over the weekend. Prospective students and their parents are very welcome to visit the College for a tour.
There are many changes in terms of home, social and learning environments. Como has a well developed and extensive pastoral care system to ease the transition for your child.
Como Rotary Club
We have been a proud long term Community Partner with the Como Rotary Club over many years. Over this time, students have participated in a number of the Como Rotary sponsored youth leadership programs, and overseas students under the Rotary International Exchange Program have attended Como Secondary College. Currently Como Rotarians are actively involved in student Mentor programs at our school, which prove highly beneficial to our students.
The Curtin Education Community is a school network based on Como Secondary College and Kent Street Senior High School and their local primary schools, as well as Canning College. The network fosters cooperation and collaboration between the schools with the aim of making our schools the schools of choice in our area.
The school has a close association with Rotary through students boarding at the Rotary Residential College as well as local Rotary members helping with our Interact Club. From time to time the schools also hosts overseas students sponsored by local and international Rotary clubs.
Alumni are encouraged to stay connected after completing their high school journey with opportunities to ‘give back’ to the school community including guest speaking and mentoring current students.
