The EMITS program offers students with a passion for mathematics, science and information technology the opportunity to hone their skills in an exciting and challenging way. It’s designed to equip students with a comprehensive toolbox of EMITS-related skills that will further their abilities at a tertiary level – and it’s run through a close relationship with Curtin University.
Como staff utilise a research-based best-practice understanding to meet and extend the needs of the students. Successful applicants will enjoy fast-paced, enriched courses covering real-world aspects of science, mathematics and IT.
EMITS students have their in-school learning experience further extended with activities designed to supplement and extend their skills and knowledge. These include a variety of compulsory structured excursions and competitions in mathematics, engineering, computing, science, robotics and information technology.
EMITS is a program requiring a four-year commitment (Years 7–10). Students then follow an ATAR-bound pathway with the aim of university entrance upon completing Year 12.
