Specialist Hockey Academy

Como’s long-established specialist Hockey Academy has a tradition of stellar achievement at both national and international levels. The Academy is designed for students who display developing hockey-playing ability and are willing to incorporate Hockey as a major area of their school studies.

Students receive a diverse hockey-playing experience with a focus on skill development, physical conditioning and game strategy.

All students who successfully complete the hockey program will have the opportunity to achieve:

• A nationally recognised First Aid Certificate
• Accreditations under the Australian Sports Commission’s National Coaching & Officiating Accreditation Scheme
• Certificate III in Sport and Recreation

Students are expected to remain in the program until they successfully graduate from Como Secondary College in Year 12.
