The Sail Training Program is run during first term each year for year 9 students in conjunction with the Western Australian Yachting Foundation, their sponsors; Woodside and the Royal Perth Yacht Club.
Acting as a team building and social cohesion exercise, the students learn to sail Foundation 36 racing yachts under the guidance of a professional sailing coach and a Como staff member over the space of 4 afternoon sessions. The students are placed into crews of 8 - 10 and learn all positions of the crew, knot tying and sailing theory, culminating in a race day on the final day of the program.
