Marine and Maritime Technology is a new and exciting course being offered to Como Secondary College students in years 10,11 and 12, who have a personal interest in or are considering a career in the marine or maritime industry.
Students will have the opportunity to learn practical marine based skills such as fishing and boating. Metal fabrication is a focus, aiming to preparing students for future employment in the boat building and relative industries. The course also has marine biology and marine aquaculture components, which increases student’s awareness of marine environmental and sustainability issues.
