Languages

Como Secondary College provides Language classes in two alternative languages; Indonesian and French. All students are required to study one or the other of these languages from the beginning of Year 8.

In order to develop greater confidence and fluency in using the French and Indonesian languages, students engage in a range of activities and are exposed to a variety of authentic models of spoken and written French. Topics covered include: Self, family, Friends, Home, Daily routine, Leisure, Food and Drink, Country and City life, Holidays and Travel, School and future plans, Obtaining services, Health and fitness, World Issues and Reading for pleasure.
